Nice lil trailer you got there.

First off, the song is by Lazymuffin, which is an interesting choice for a cartoon as serious as this. However, as it progressed it actually gave it a haunting, creepy, almost heroic feel to it. So nice choice there!

It's a nice start, and I can't wait to see the full thing. Decent animations and art, but interesting concept.

[Guns of the Awesome]

Rightio, here I go.

Of course, as always on 'Awesome' movies, looking through the reviews there are those who either say: "Bad because you're not Egoraptor," or "AWSUM!!!11! YUR JUST LYKE EG0RAPTOOOR!1!!," and then not much on the actual cartoon itself.

This, my friend, is the best Egoraptor parody yet. I may have not found it funny, I know I haven't played the game but I doubt I would have even then, and the jokes may be un-original and it was just a lot of swearing, yelling and craziness, but then again so is Egoraptor's and even his doesn't produce a smile across my face.

The animation was subtle at points, by which I mean good but kind of lazy, however there was a lot of great fbf in there too with some excellent lip syncing. I can tell you're no noob to flash and you definitively know what you're doing.

The voice acting too was of a good standard, with a good male and female voice. Almost mistaken to be Egoraptor's voice and voice actors at first.

I think the score is fair yet unfair in a few aspects. First off I'm glad it's not incredibly overrated with a 4.30 however for the length and effort put into this I think that perhaps it does deserve something alone the lines of a 4.00. I know, you know, that you resubmitted this for the publicity and the trophy. We're all the victims of this and I know as sure as hell that I've done it. A lot.

It's hard to sum this up but I wouldn't listen to some of the reviews just be proud of it yourself and keep up with the good attitude to the negative, unhelpful response. You know the reviewers I'm talking about >:)

Due to the fact this just isn't my cup of tea I'm giving this an 9. To get that perfect 10 improve the script writing. Next time stray away from awesome cartoons due to the fact there are so many HATERS of 'Awesome' parodies, which is a shame.

I hope this wins something because this is a little gem. GZ on fp.

Thanks so much. I think you make very good points. Yes, I think it's inspired by Ego alot, but for me that doesn't make it bad. It makes it a homage, a tribute. It makes it fun to animate, and fun for fans to watch. There might be haters, but let them hate. I'm very glad you liked it, and I'm happy of the concrete critisism you gave me. Rock on.

I loved how simple this was. I remember ages ago I saw your submission about the balloon and these two are very similar. Just cute little drawings with cute little characters. The choice of music was good too :) Animation was also ace, especially the blur effect when the fish moved down.

~Bad Points and How to Improve~

Get better voice actors or a better mic so it sounds clearer. Also there wasn't really a punchline, if you're having something this short at least try and have a pun of some sort otherwise it really is just a couple of seconds of dialogue. The cuteness was ruined a bit by the swearing but then again, it's Newgrounds. It probably boosted your score by .60 :D

~Overall~

Overrated but still, that was a nice little flash.

Voice acting has always been an issue I do it myself and I generally just sound terrible. The one curse wasn't even in the script I just mindlessly said it while recording and it was the only take I liked, I didn't even really want it in there XP.

I don't usually go for a punch line because not only do I suck at them, I generally don't find em funny. It's a lot easier for me to make something where the whole of it is irony and just accept some people are going to find it clever, while others aren't, and still others aren't going to quite get it at all (not saying you didn't it's pretty clear you did).

Thanks for the nice constructive review noted and I'll probably start to plan things out farther in advance, and get some solid voice actors. I'll try to figure out how to write funny punch-lines... just for you =)

(Bah overrated scores lower then my Balloon and money shorts ;_;)

Fitted the music perfectly, it was really colourful and imaginative if not a little trippy. The pictures weren't great but the simplicity was nice, not too much of an eye sore. The length was good too and the music, plain awesome.

~Bad Points and How to Improve~

The colours you used weren't very nice to look at being either incredibly dark or way too bright. The animation could be improved, especially on that falling into the water part as well as more time and effort could be spent on the drawings.

It was just a really fun little music video. Nice lip syncing, stylish backgrounds and the drawings were simple but looked great. The animation, especially on the blinking eyes, was really smooth. The punch line was good too. Nice choice of music as well, I haven't heard it before.

Just make it longer I guess, I know about cutting it due to time constraints but... don't? :D Oh and I know the people are in your style but perhaps making them more detailed could improve your chances of winning the contest.

4.40!? Highest scoring collab ever made! This looked absolutely fantastic, you must have edited my part a little, it changed from really shoddy to not bad at all :D
